Opportunity

When one door of happiness closes, another opens, but often we look so long at the closed door that we do not see the one that has been opened for us. —Helen Keller

Life Lessons- A Perspective

During my dad’s funeral, a mentor approached me in the receiving line and whispered in my ear, “Feel what you have to , but from experience- do not make any major decisions here for a while. You are very vulnerable and emotional. You need to let this settle in.”

He could not have been more right. January 6th, came and went and I should have listened. We made the decision to move away from our manufacturer. Can’t say that it was unwarranted, but perhaps better planned. I can’t blame anyone for the decision. I was complicit. I went along. It was overdue.

As I plot the path forward, it will be important that I soak up what I needed to learn from this episode. What it taught me about, life, business, the world around me and most of all- Me.

I’m sur that between this online version and my handwritten journal, I will be spending some time.

So until then.
